About Baseline
Open source revolutionised how we write software, but its impact on robotics stays limited due to expensive hardware accessible only to well-funded labs. We run that hardware as shared infrastructure for the broader community, billed only for active compute. For a given task, policies are evaluated under similar conditions, giving researchers common ground for fair comparisons.
In this role you will
- Work on real-robot evaluation and post-training, from learning methods to scoring infrastructure.
- Choose a layer: world models, reinforcement learning, control, data, or tooling.
- Shape the role around individual strengths, with the scope defined together.
- Close the loop from a policy run on real hardware back to the next training signal.
What we hope you'll bring
- Experience publishing research or building systems in robotics, machine learning, or infrastructure.
- Experience taking a project from an idea to a measurable result on real hardware.
- Care for measurement and reproducibility.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every qualification.
